AS-4
AS-4 (under construction) is dedicated to studies aiming at extending high-order harmonic generation into the water window and beyond by using the few-cycle near-IR and mid-IR pulses from FP3 and LWS1, respectively, and by exploiting quasi-phase-matching techniques. Furthermore, the same driver pulses will be used for the generation of sub-fs UV/VUV pulses. With these tools we shall pursue attosecond control and metrology experiments in solid-state systems and in structures assembled on surfaces, aiming at triggering and controlling electron charge transport in solid-state structures to find ways of controlling electric current at light frequencies for solid-state lightwave electronics.
