AS-6
AS-6 (under construction) is an attosecond beamline designed for the generation of high-energy isolated attosecond XUV/SXR pulses from atomic gas harmonics driven by the multi-TW few-cycle near-IR pulses of LWS-20
and their applications to attosecond XUV-pump/XUV-probe and XUV nonlinear optical experiments. The requirement of loose focusing leads to an overall beamline length of ~20m. The extended Rayleigh-range of the driver laser beam creates ideal prerequisites for implementing quasi-phase matching in multiple-jet architectures. The beamline affords promise for providing isolated attosecond XUV/SXR pulses with microjoule energies, implying peak powers comparable to those available from FLASH at DESY.
