MPQ’s high-power Ti:Sapphire laser ATLAS has recently been upgraded from 30 TW to 100 TW. It is currently delivering 25fs, >2J laser pulses at 5 Hz repetition rate and the central wavelength of 800 nm. Through the addition of extra pump lasers, an energy of >3J from the last amplifier has been achieved, a new frontend and stretcher/compressor system was installed, which can produce 80 nm bandwidth amplified pulses with a measured ns-scale ASE contrast of 10^{11}. A plasma mirror setup to further increase the contrast, especially on the ps-time scale, is currently being installed.
