The MPQ-LMU Laboratory for Attosecond
and
High Field Physics
(LAP)
was established - with facilities at both MPQ and LMU - in 2004 upon Prof.
Ferenc Krausz' joint appointment as
Director at the Max-Planck-Institut
für Quantenoptik and and Chair
of Experimental Physics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität
München. LAP unites the expertise
of Prof. Krausz' former Vienna Group
with that of the MPQ Laser-Plasma Group
led by Prof. Witte, resulting in a uniquely
broad range of sub-fields of Ultrafast
and High-Field Science covered by in-depth
expertise. These include
