    Running for spinal cord research

team — Running for those who can’t. This is the Wings for Life World Run’s motto. This year for the second time »The Photons«, a team from the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics joined the race on Sunday, May 8. Under the bright sky »The Photons« ran for a good cause, as 100% of the entry fees is donated to spinal cord research. Their mission is to find a cure for paraplegia. What is special about the Wings for Life World Run is that you do not have to cross a finishing line, but run as long as you can until a car catches you. The car starts half an hour after the runners with a velocity of 15 km/h until it catches all the runners. A race, not only against time, but also against heat on the sunny day. The team »The Photons« enjoyed the special atmosphere of the race and surely will be part of it in 2017 as well.
